![]() Mark Anthony's Ship Towers |
|
Because Mark Anthony's ships were larger than the typical Roman ship, many
of his larger ships could and did carry large ship towers and often several. It
has been suggested that the large towers made Mark Anthony's ships into
floating fortresses. Large towers were capable of not only housing marines,
but also artillery such as light and medium ballistae. Like the smaller ship towers,
it was customary at the time to paint the towers to simulate a stone tower. Roman Seas provides both small and large ship towers models in a separate PDF file with Mark Anthony's Navy Set. You may attach the ship towers directly onto the deck of your models, or have the towers placed onto their own stands so that they may be placed onto the ship model temporarily and then removed during the course of a game (depending upon the rules you use). |
